Keystone Marketing has been named among the 100 small businesses in the UK to be celebrated by Small Business Saturday, the campaign that culminates in the UK’s dedicated day for small businesses on December 3rd. We are delighted to have been chosen as part of the 2016 campaign; and are now among the select number of businesses to be featured each day for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday itself.
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, not-for-profit campaign originally founded by American Express in the US in 2010 – and the company remains the principal supporter of the campaign in the UK, as part of its ongoing commitment to encourage consumers to shop small. The campaign also benefits from the backing of leading business organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses and Enterprise Nation.
Managing Director Hayley set up Keystone Marketing three years ago as an outsourced marketing department for organisations that are short of marketing time, resources or expertise.
Since then, Hayley has since been joined by two other marketing professionals to support the growing Keystone customer base. Our small but perfectly formed team applies more than 35 years of experience in advising on strategy and branding, creating high impact material, developing websites, organising events and running social media and PR campaigns.
The small business community is vitally important and hugely powerful and it’s a pleasure to be part of it. As well as being a proud small business ourselves, we support a large number of other small businesses too – those clients that we directly work for and those suppliers and partners we work with.
Small Business Saturday is already the UK’s most successful small business campaign. This is the fourth year of the campaign, which last year saw £623m spent with small businesses across the UK on Small Business Saturday, an increase of £119m or 24 per cent on the previous year. We can’t wait to see what impact the 2016 campaign has – and being a fundamental part of it makes it even more exciting!
Watch this space
For us, as one of the chosen 100 businesses to be recognised in the campaign, work now starts on building up our own campaign activity. We’ve been assigned a dedicated day in the national campaign which will promote Keystone Marketing and our work. We can’t share what date this will be…but watch this space! We’ll also be participating in the Cambridge stop of the Small Business Saturday bus tour on Tuesday 15th November.
Our thanks to Guardian Small Business Network, PR Week, Cambridge News, Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and The Hunts Post (see right) for their Keystone coverage so far.
How to get involved:
We encourage everyone across our network to consider how they can support the Small Business Saturday campaign this year.
The campaign is a great nationwide promotional and marketing tool for small businesses. It is totally free to participate and any small businesses can get involved – from one-man-bands, through to a high growth office, and from tradesmen to social media gurus. In addition to the big day, the campaign also delivers help and advice alongside opportunities to connect with other small businesses.
Logos, digital banners, a social media guide and toolkits will be available to download from the website www.smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com and can be displayed online or on premises. More information on Small Business Saturday can also be found on the Small Business Saturday Facebook page (www.facebook.com/smallbusinesssaturdayuk) and Twitter feed.
