Keystone’s dedicated Small Business Saturday day and a trip to Downing Street

Keystone Marketing was named among the 100 small businesses in the UK earlier this year by Small Business Saturday, the national campaign that culminates in the UK’s dedicated day for small businesses on 3rd December.

Each of the chosen 100 businesses in the campaign have been assigned a dedicated day in the lead up to Small Business Saturday, and today – Friday 2nd December – is the day Keystone is being profiled, the day before the big national campaign day itself. As part of the profile, the Small Business Saturday campaign team will promote Keystone Marketing and its work on a national platform.

Downing Street reception
On Thursday 1st December Keystone Marketing’s Managing Director Hayley Williams attended a dedicated Small Business Saturday reception at 10 Downing Street. Hayley joined other small business owners at a reception at No.10 Downing Street attended by the Small Business Minister Margot James.

Prime Minister Theresa May said: “Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for us to celebrate the success of the UK’s 5.4 million small businesses – from family run restaurants, to innovative tech start-ups, to local corner shops. I’m delighted that we had such a great representation of firms here in Downing Street to mark this event and recognise the prosperity they bring to the UK.”

Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Greg Clark, said: “The UK’s 5.5 million small businesses are the backbone of our economy, creating millions of jobs in communities across the country and helping to build an economy that works for all. “I am proud to be joining Small Business Saturday in championing them, and would encourage as many people as possible to get out to their local high street this weekend to do the same.”

The growth of Keystone
Speaking about the accolade, Keystone Marketing’s Managing Director Hayley Williams said:

“We are truly delighted to have been nationally recognised as a top 100 small business this year. The small business community is vitally important and hugely powerful and it’s a pleasure to be part of it. We are a small, hardworking team who are driven to deliver an excellent marketing service to other small and growing businesses both locally and nationally. Our business has grown significantly since inception just over three years ago and this recognition really does demonstrate the impact we have made so far.”

Hayley Williams set up Keystone Marketing three years ago as an outsourced marketing department for organisations that are short of marketing time, resources or expertise. Since then, Hayley has since been joined by two other senior marketing professionals, as well as the recent addition of the first Keystone Marketing intern, to support the growing Keystone customer base. Keystone’s small but perfectly formed team applies more than 35 years of experience in advising on strategy and branding, creating high impact material, developing websites, organising events and running social media and PR campaigns.

Keystone Marketing is proud to be a small business, working with our clients, suppliers and partners who are mostly local and small businesses themselves.
