The challenge
Our job? To create a new awards initiative and marketing campaign for the largest town in Cambridgeshire.
Our approach
To be successful, it was essential that the awards programme became known across all corners of the town.
A striking brand identity unified all the award communications, including a dedicated website and a range of hardcopy and online marketing materials and graphics. Our marketing campaign and call for nominations was dovetailed with work to identify judges to shortlist and pick a winner. We also used our event management expertise at the award ceremony itself – sourcing a host, writing all scripts, liaising with sponsors and other guests, as well as organising on the night photography and live social media promotions.
Impact
Our work was responsible for:
- Securing of revenue to support project costings thanks to our creation and promotion of highly targeted sponsorship packages.
- Gaining deep community outreach resulting in 100’s of interactions, enquiries and nominations for over 10 carefully designed categories
- The creation of an event framework that returned to the town for several years, with continuing award-winning spirit
